Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 March 2026
These terms govern your use of tmua.study (“the platform”, “the service”), operated by Henrik Singh (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
The service
tmua.study is a practice platform for the Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA). We provide original practice questions, worked solutions, mock exams, progress tracking, and related features to help students prepare for the TMUA.
Accounts
You must create an account to use the platform. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@tmua.study.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One account per person — don’t create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.
Free and Premium plans
Free plan. You may answer up to 5 questions per day at no cost. This limit resets daily. Free users have access to all topics and papers but cannot take full timed mock exams.
Premium plan. A one-off payment of £29.99 grants unlimited access to all platform features, including unlimited questions, mock exams, and detailed analytics. Premium access does not expire — it lasts for as long as the platform operates.
School accounts. If your school has a licence, you may receive Premium access through your school. This access is valid for the duration of your school’s licence period.
Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
Refund policy. If you’re not satisfied with Premium, contact us within 14 days of purchase at hello@tmua.studyand we’ll issue a full refund, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases. Since digital content begins immediately upon purchase (you get instant access to Premium features), you acknowledge that you may lose this cancellation right once you start using Premium features. However, we offer the 14-day refund policy above regardless.
What you can and can’t do
You can:
- Use the platform for personal TMUA preparation.
- Use the platform as part of a school’s TMUA preparation programme (if your school has a licence).
- Share that the platform exists (we appreciate it).
You can’t:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute questions, solutions, or any platform content outside the platform. The questions are our intellectual property.
- Share your account credentials with others or let others use your account.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract questions or data from the platform.
- Circumvent usage limits on the free plan (e.g. creating multiple accounts).
- Use the platform for any purpose other than TMUA preparation (e.g. don’t use it to build a competing product).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the question generation or verification systems.
Question quality and accuracy
We make every effort to ensure our questions are mathematically accurate, appropriately difficult, and aligned with the TMUA specification. Every question passes through a multi-stage verification process before reaching students.
However, we do not guarantee that every question is error-free. If you find a question you believe contains an error, please use the “report problem” button on the question screen. We review all reports and will correct or remove any question found to be inaccurate.
We are not affiliated with UAT-UK, the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, or any other university. The TMUA is administered by UAT-UK. Our practice questions are original and are not taken from actual TMUA papers. Our platform is an independent preparation tool.
We do not guarantee any particular TMUA score, university admission outcome, or improvement in performance. The platform is a study aid, not a guarantee.
Intellectual property
All questions, solutions, and content on the platform are owned by tmua.study. The question generation pipeline, verification process, and associated systems are our proprietary technology.
You retain ownership of any data you generate through your use of the platform (your answers, your scores, your progress data).
School accounts and teacher access
If you join a school through a join code, your teacher(s) will be able to see your name, email address, your practice activity, your accuracy by topic, and your estimated TMUA score. This data sharing is necessary for the school features to function and is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Teachers cannot modify your answers, access your payment information, or see data unrelated to your TMUA preparation on the platform.
Availability
We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to take the platform offline for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. We’ll try to give notice where possible.
Changes to the service
We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We may change pricing for new purchases (existing Premium users keep their access at the price they paid). If we make changes that materially reduce the value of Premium for existing users, we’ll notify affected users.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time through the settings page or by emailing us.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms — for example, by sharing account credentials, scraping content, or creating multiple accounts to bypass limits. If we terminate your account for a violation, you are not entitled to a refund.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:
- The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date and notify users via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
